Kenneth David Musser is a native of Abilene, Kansas, the hometown of President Dwight David Eisenhower. His father, David Musser, served as pastor of the Abilene Brethren in Christ Church in the 1950s, the same church President Eisenhower attended while growing up in Abilene.

A graduate of Abilene High School, Musser later earned a BA in Religious Education from Messiah College, now Messiah University, in Grantham, Pennsylvania. As a young boy, he endured emotional and physical abuse, experiences that would eventually shape the deeply personal testimony found in Grandfather’s Enduring Love.

Alongside his work as an author, Musser is a dedicated scholar of US history and a historian of Major League Baseball. He also holds extensive knowledge of NCAA basketball and football, as well as professional basketball and football. He is the father of three children — David, Carrie, and Maribeth — and the grandfather of eleven.
